Catalina Bay Apartments, located on the north-eastern tip of Hobsonville Point in Auckland, comprises 73 residences designed by Architectus. The development takes full advantage of its coastal setting, with apartment layouts maximising views of the harbour and surrounding landscape.
The exposed location also presents a challenge. High winds and harsh coastal weather demands a roofing system that can provide both durability and long-term resilience. The selected solution was designed to withstand these conditions while contributing to the overall performance of the building.
The project has been recognised with a Homestar 5 rating, the residential equivalent of Green Star, reflecting its commitment to sustainable design and energy efficiency.
